A review desk for Android software, working at the pace that actually produces an opinion worth reading.
A number on its own is decoration. At APK Critique the score is the last line of an argument, not the headline: it says how well the thing does what it set out to do, judged against what else is available for the same job. An ambitious app that stumbles can outscore a safe one that never tries.
Someone uses the app for long enough to form a view, reads what its makers claim, and checks whether the claim survives contact with the thing. Install counts and star averages are recorded as context; they do not move the score.
Every review is written out ahead of time as flat HTML. No script follows you between pages, nothing loads in the background, and the whole archive stays readable on a poor connection.
Good. A score that nobody argues with was probably not worth publishing. Tell us where the reasoning fails and we will say so on the page.
Repackaged builds, cracked premium unlocks, and anything trading on a name that is not its own. You cannot review a thing honestly if the thing itself is dishonest.
APK Critique is a small desk of people who install too much software and have opinions about menus. Nobody here is paid by a developer, and nobody sees a review before it goes up.
Reviews are revised when an app changes enough to deserve it, and the old score stays visible.
The number is the end of the argument, not a substitute for it.
